Pastor Steven Bennett Jr., a dedicated leader from Detroit, is the only son of the late Bishop Steven Bennett Sr. and Overseer Valorie Bennett-Wiley, founders of House of Prayer & Praise Ministries. Known affectionately as Pastor Steve, he began his ministry as a youth leader for over a decade before earning a bachelor’s degree in organizational administration from Central Michigan University. In January 2020, he was appointed Senior Pastor of HOPP, carrying forward his parents' vision.
Under his leadership, the ministry has flourished, now reaching over 1,500 viewers weekly and actively engaging in community initiatives to support those in need. Pastor Steve is also passionate about empowering others, conducting public speaking workshops for both speakers and clergy.
Married to his wife Ebony since 2010, Pastor Steve is the proud father of four daughters: Kylee, Gabriella, Ava, and Sydney. With a divine calling to preach the gospel, he delivers impactful messages filled with humor and timely insights, inspiring and uplifting his congregation and community.
